The Cairo Tower is a free-standing concrete tower located in Cairo, Egypt. At 187 m, it has been the tallest structure in Egypt and North Africa for 50 years.

The Great Sphinx of Giza, commonly referred to as the Sphinx, is a limestone statue of a sphinx that stands on the Giza Plateau on the west bank of the Nile in Giza, Egypt.

Pyramids of Giza

The Pyramids of Giza consist of the Great Pyramid of Giza, the somewhat smaller Pyramid of Khafre a few hundred meters to the south-west, and the relatively modest-sized Pyramid of Menkaure a few hundred meters further south-west. The Great Sphinx lies on the east side of the complex. The pyramids themselves are used as tombs and burial grounds, testament to ancient Egyptian Pharaohs.
